Question 1

What file types does ProofForge support?

Accepted Answer

ProofForge supports PDF, JPG, JPEG, and PNG files up to 50 MB each. PDF is recommended for print artwork as it preserves fonts and colour profiles.

Question 2

Can my clients approve proofs without creating an account?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Clients receive a unique proof link via email. They can view, comment, and approve artwork directly in their browser — no account, login, or app download required.

Question 3

Is my artwork secure?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. All files are encrypted in transit and at rest. Each proof link is unique and access-controlled. File download URLs are generated on-demand and expire automatically. Row-level security ensures users can only access their own data.

Question 4

What happens after the 14-day free trial?

Accepted Answer

After your trial ends, you can subscribe to continue using ProofForge. Your data and jobs are preserved — nothing is deleted. If you choose not to subscribe, your account is simply paused until you reactivate.

Question 5

Can I use my own branding on proof pages?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can upload your logo, set your brand colours, add a company tagline, and customise the header, footer, and disclaimer text that appears on every proof page your clients see.

Question 6

How does version tracking work?

Accepted Answer

Every time you upload a new file to a job, it's automatically versioned (v1, v2, v3…). Clients see a clear version badge and can compare versions. The full history is preserved in the audit trail.

Question 7

Can multiple team members manage proofs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. ProofForge supports team seats so your designers, account managers, and production staff can all manage proofs under one account. Each team member gets their own login.

Question 8

Do clients need to download anything?

Accepted Answer

No. Everything happens in the browser. Clients click the proof link, view the artwork, leave comments or annotations, and approve — all without downloading software or creating an account.

Question 9

What if a client doesn't respond to a proof?

Accepted Answer

ProofForge shows you how long each proof has been waiting. You can resend the proof email or follow up directly. The dashboard highlights stale proofs so nothing falls through the cracks.

Question 10

How much does ProofForge cost?

Accepted Answer

ProofForge starts at $29 AUD per month with a 14-day free trial. Visit our pricing page for full details.

Question 11

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There are no lock-in contracts. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings and continue using ProofForge until the end of your billing period.

Question 12

Is ProofForge suitable for large-format / signage work?

Accepted Answer

ProofForge was purpose-built for print and sign shops. You can include job details like substrate, finish, trim size, and quantity alongside every proof — so your client sees exactly what they're approving.
